All cadets joining the vessel are required to complete the Mandatory Safety and Shipboard Familiarisation in accordance with STCW Section A-VI/1, paragraph 1 before performing any shipboard duties. This familiarisation ensures that every cadet understands the vessel’s safety arrangements, emergency procedures, and the essential actions to be taken during any onboard incident.
By signing the familiarisation checklist, the cadet confirms that they have received instruction, understood the safety procedures, and are fully capable of performing the tasks listed below under supervision:
